Munchkin’s 4th Birthday

Munchkin’s 4th Birthday was a week ago.  We have had at least a week of festivities.  On Munchkin’s birthday he woke to find the house decorated for a robot birthday.  We had pancakes with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday. 

Then Munchkin opened his family gifts.  He liked his cash register, police uniform, and animated dog.

He went to school in the morning so he could see his friends.  All the kids made him birthday cards.  Munchkin didn’t stay at school long because he wanted to go to the Planetarium and the toy store. 

We went to Panera for lunch so Munchkin could have his favorite mac and cheese.  At the Hayden Planetarium we saw the show with stars and planets as Munchkin says.  Then we went and saw some of the things about space like the scale for the sun and the meteor.  You see Munchkin is still wearing his police uniform.

After the Planetarium we headed to a toy store on the upper west side near the museum.  At home we had a big chocolate cupcake per Munchkin’s request for Birthday cake.

Munchkin wanted an airplane so his daddy made him one.  You can see the huge fire truck Munchkin picked out from the toy store here.

Munchkin wanted to go on the “rides” on his birthday which we didn’t have time for so we did it the next day.  We also went to the doctor for Munchkin’s 4 year old visit.  He is 42.5 inches tall which puts him in the 90th percentile and 39lbs which is the 75th percentile. 

This past weekend was Munchkin’s party.  Munchkin’s cousin came for the party which was super nice.  Earlier in the day Munchkin had a party for a friend from school.  They had a piñata which Munchkin almost broke.  The party was on the beach at a playground.  

This is some of the décor and cake for Munchkin’s 4th Robot Birthday party.  I made the cake.

When the kids arrived we had a playdoh robot making station with Transformers and a bristle bot which Nithin made kits so it was easy for the kids to put together.  A few of the kids raced their bristle bots.  Then the kids headed outside to the Tumble Bus and had fun in the bus for an hour.  They were busy little bee’s. 

Munchkin got a medal for being the Birthday Boy.  Then we headed inside for pizza and cake.  Munchkin really loves his medal.

Munchkin got a construction worker outfit from his teacher which he just loved.

On Sunday the family went to see Munchkin play in his game.  He is getting better about going into the game.  He needs to improve going after the ball.

Before Munchkin’s cousin left they read a book on the couch which is just too cute to miss a photo.

Munchkin spent Sunday afternoon using his scooter a lot.  He really loved that gift. 

Overall Munchkin loved his party.  It was super special to have Munchkin’s cousin, aunt, grandma and grandpa come for his party.
